The issue here is (1) taking out anger on an innocent child and (2) within a company as large as UA, it’s inevitable some horses *sses are going to turn up. (Remember, there are more horses *sses than there are horses.)

One, a push from an 11-12 year old child is not malicious. If a 40-year old adult pushed him, than I would maybe see the FA’s point of view. But an 11-year old foreign girl?? Gimme a break.

Two, low morale on that aircraft if the purser did not intervene. IMO, the purser’s job is 90% customer service, 10% inflight service.

I do hope you have the names of these two “ugly Americans,” and it would ideally be great if some of your inflight neighbors can offer some criticism as well (a better case if more than just one person complains). This comportment is truly outlandish, and I would hope that actions like this would move these idiots up on the list, nearer to pay cut or adiós. Perhaps as punishment they can seek out that poor little girl to push them out the door so their *sses don’t hit it as the cliché goes.
