Does anyone have any recent experiences with this at MIA? Boarding there is a free-for-all. My last experience was on May 12, MIA-LHR. I was in J, and a couple whose BPs said "Group 6" were standing next to me in line. (Actually, they were trying to push past me.) I boarded, and as I walked down the jetway, I turned around and saw them walking behind me.
MIA has typically been the worse with the most lax GAs. I boarded a MIA/GRU flight there in early March and thought the J paxs were going to be trampled to death. However, I did a MIA/SJU flight earlier this month, one that really tends to be a free for all, and the GAs took strict control. Hope this is permanent trend because eventually someone is going to seriously get hurt and among other ramifications there will be a 500 plus comment thread on FT.
