Advice please for a T5 virgin !

Although I have flown lots since T5 opened, I have not yet had the "privilege" of the T5 experience.

I will be flying out next week to the US and wondered where to go and in what order. I will be arriving on the HEX around 07.45, will have bags to check in and will be flying in J but with a Gold Card. I will obviously try OLCI ....

Will it be obvious as I exit the HEX lift (?) where to go for the F check-in desks (I don't think it would be that obvious in T4 if one was not familiar with the layout), and will I then need to go somewhere else for a visa check ? I read a reference to a special door through to the lounges from the premium check-in areas (or did I imagine that ??). Is Fast Track security better than at T4, or just more of the same ??

Finally, how much time should I allow, assuming things are reasonably busy, from arrival of the HEX train to the lounge ??

Any other tips or tricks to speed up the process or as to which lounges to use (did I read somewhere that there are two sets, or - again did I imagine that ??) gratefully received.
