Let's keep a sense of perspective here.

Demand is demand all right. However supply is pretty much managed supply.

Airlines pricing "mechanism" is not a mechanism at all, it's *managed.* Totally under their control. It's based upon what they think they can get away with charging you. No relationship at all to a *market* sort of a model.

Doesn't mean I can't live with it. But please keep the ideology out of the equation. This is nothing like a free market. More like a money grab. Which also arguably provides me with the ethical justification for doing the best I can to grab as much value I can get from their models, rules etc.
