i really don't think you can compare the product west jet offers vs. the air canada product.....that's like comparing Southwest to American Airlines. Or Wal-Mart to Macy's. There's a niche product/market for everything.....

Air Canada has frequency, network, and prestige working for it....
West Jet has fares....and that's even arguable.
