The rumour is that there will be a SkyHD offer(maybe 99) in the next week so if you upgraded the new HD box would carry a 12month warranty so you could look at it as 72 quid of SkyHD.

FWIW i have had multiroom for years and HD for a while and have never had a problem with any box and never took out insurance on them.
