Funny thing is I cannot pay my car insurance with an AMEX card but USAA actually offers a USAA AMEX card to their members. I usually have to use my DC card at virtually all medical related places (my doctor, my chiro, my dog's vet, etc.)
USAA does take Amex. I use it to pay my Auto premium and homeowners' valuable article floater.
just call them up and have them charge your premium to your card.
