Newbie here and not sure where to post my question, sorry in advanced.

The AGR website says "earn 2 points for every dollar spent on Amtrak travel – a 100-point minimum on each trip, no matter the price."

So I will get a 100 points for a ticket that say cost $20?

I'm in Los Angeles and thought of leaving from Union Station to Burbank ($4 cost) enough times in hopes of building up enough points to reach Select Membership. Is it possible? I figure Amtrak would require a minimum number of traveled miles to prevent people from taking advantage of the AGR program but I could not find anything on the site about any sort of distance restrictions.
