Finnair calls this enviromentally friendly corporate policy. Translated into non-Orwellian language that means seat pitch was tightened both on short-and longhaul aircraft. The only respite are the MD11's and AB319's where the older seats and pitch remain.
Oddly enough, the new leased A3?0 long haul charter aeroplane (next winter btw HEL and Phuket) will have a better seat pitch than the planes used on regular routes and of course a lot better than those charter flights operated by B757.
