Well, thanks for the continued tips. I am going to attempt to switch my award over to a NW connection at MSP (although that connection is only 50 minutes!), but neither flight is currently available for standard reward travel.
So it looks like I'll be rolling the dice. I'll try to keep my plans flexible if I don't make it. And I'll post back with the final results!
If you are a Delta Medallion member, and you have a schedule change, usually Delta will switch you to any other flight combos.
As I said, I had a 15 minute change that changed my layover from 3 hours (for some reason, I could tolerate that) to 3 hours and 15 minutes (straw that broke the camel's back).... so I called, asked if I could have a smaller layover and I got 1 hour and 15 mins.
