Thanks, RVBOOS, for taking the time to answer my inquiry and bring this thread more up to date for others. I agree that it makes no sense to skip the Plats when short on newspapers. Someone wasn't thinking! I also don't care for the "Denny's-like" ambiance when the lounge is packed. But overall, it does sound like our group would enjoy staying there.
