okay so i am going to japan on an exchange program where i live with a family for a month. I'm trying to learn japanese before i go but i could use some advice on what to see in Japan (not sure if i'm going to be on the main islands of Hokkaido or Honshu, thats where most of the exchange travelers go.), what are some good shops to visit or festivals(if any are goign on during that time, i'm leaving July 13-august?), what are some customes and culture issues that i should be aware of etc. thankyou for replying!:-:
