Looking for a fare with TG ex HKG for next Jan from now is very early indeed. Especially you want to be in F. TG HK is very slow in releasing fares. Nothing other than full fare fares are available yet in HK for Jan 09. I asked a month ago about B/M fares out of HKG in Jan (HKG-BKK-LHR) also to use my Gold upgrade but was told only full Y fare is available through both TA & TG HKG. In the end I decided just to get LH C as it's only ~30% more than purchasing full Y with TG knowing Gold Upgrade in Jan is extremely difficult anyway. As for you I would wait until after mid Sept (HK high season) and book your flights through a TA in HK (something like "Hong Thai"/"Wing On"/"Sunflower" etc). Afterall nothing can be more expensive than full fare F right?
