If the upgrade will require a luxery tax payment (e.g. from the UK or France), be sure to have payment information ready - either your CC and security code or theirs.
The departure tax needs to be paid with a credit card in the name of the person who gave the eVIP (unless that person is traveling on the same flight, then it can be paid by the passenger who receives the eVIP).
If they have a credit card on file, you'll still need the security code.
AA phone AAgents no longer have access to stored credit card info.
