3. At the risk of sounding like a dumb email forward, please realize how good you have it in life the next time you start feeling down about there being more 1K's. I was perturbed today when I got only one shot of espresso in my iced latte, instead of the requested two, but then felt silly after I realized how few people in the world are in an economic position to pay $3 for a cup of coffee.
4. I see that we "real" 1K's are going to get a special UA gift; I'm looking forward to this.
Thanks for engaging my rant.</font>
Hear, hear! I was just thinking the other day that we're all a highly privliged bunch. Some of us think nothing of flying to SIN for a few hours/days, or others can travel a lot around their own country. Personally I find travel one of life's great experiences, and long distance travel, to see other cultures and places, is really only available to the middle and higher classes of westernised nations, and the elite of other (read: more poor) countries. Sure, I want my 1K cake and eat it too, but think of a starving kid in Africa suffering because its parents died of HIV the next time you worry about your status miles.....
As for point 4 - woo hoo!
