This is odd. I got sent a grey Concorde Room Access card a couple of years back. I never flew Concorde but have been a Gold since the late 1980's. I've also noticed (or is it my imagination?) that since that time every single wait list has dropped straight in. I always travel J but usually at extremely short notice - sometimes as little as a couple of hours and often half a day - on very full flights. Moreover, under these circumstances I'm upgraded to First about 30% of the time, I even had a string of 5 in a row and started to feel spoiled. This rarely happened before. Does this suggest there are 'levels within Gold?' I can't work it out as one of my colleagues travels far more than even I do on BA, has a longer Gold history and has never seen a sniff of a Concorde Room card.

The CCR in T5 is really good. I had a chance to check it out on my flight to JNB a month ago. Let's hope they keep the standard up and don't let it slip to what the one in T4 has degenerated into. That one was supposed to shut with the move to T5 but is still open and manned with a skeleton staff. On my flight to Abuja last week it was very grim: kids and mobiles.
