I'm a Sofitel Privilege Gold - the staff at the Minneapolis Sofitel knows me by name. Agree with the other posters that the program is a bit odd in terms of points accrual and even timing of points posting. Plus, the mail you the vouchers from France, so expect 2-3 weeks to get them, before using them. I have used the vouchers for a stay at the Chicago Water Tower property and just requested more for a one-nighter in Nagoya next month.

I do find the properties in the US to be inconsistent in terms of decor. Sofitel markets it as a benefit but the San Francisco property's rooms look like something out of the 1980s. And the O'Hare property...fortunately the beds are the same across the chain.

Speaking of - the beds are Sofitel are the BEST I've found and I find even when I don't have time to get a full night's sleep, I get a good sleep for the hours I have. Now I need to buy the bed to replace my thin duvet at home!
