Just driving back from China today and while on the highway from Huanggang to Sha Tin, noticed that the Hyatt sign had been placed on top of the Hyatt Regency Sha Tin building, and that it was lights on on at least the bottom eight floors. No curtains on the windows yet, so could see inside that some of the interior decoration was near completion. No furniture in the rooms yet, though.
The Hyatt Regency Sha Tin is very close to the Sha Tin Race Course, maybe a 3 minute taxi ride away, and probably even walkable between the two.
I wonder when this hotel is opening. Haven't heard much news about it.
Interesting, not a great area but an easy KCR ride to Tsim Sha Tsui. I believe that some of the Olympic equestrian events and the medal ceremonies will be held at the race course in Sha Tin. Hyatt better hurry.
