Kris Flyer not a friend to United ff's

Recently sought to use SQ ff miles to pay for a bus class ticket LA to NY on united. United wanted 45K miles for this, but SQ wanted 60K for same tix. What a ripoff, and while they have an alliance this is clearly not a star alliance.
