No. Your computer will receive 4 years of warranty.

I'm not sure which thread about extended warranties you were reading as noted in your initial post, but try this one on for size.

The Centurion/Platinum warranty match is only for the ORIGINAL warranty, and does not include the AppleCare plan (or any other extended warranty plan). And since they only match UP TO three years you only get one year.

At one point Dell would sell you a computer with an initial warranty of one, two or three years. Now all the Dell computers come with one year of initial warranty and then an additional one or two years of extended warranty, a move that I'm guessing was instigated by the CC companies and other warranty extenders.
