AA2MM, are you aware that UA Mileage Plus award tickets for NH flights are not date changeable after the first sector is flown? It's not like AA AAdvantage award tickets for CX flights.

If you issue a ticket via NH's Mileage Club, then date changes are permitted free of charge. I do have enough NH miles for a LAX-BKK in F but, alas, NH does not allow me to give a ticket to a non-relative.

It is not difficult to obtain an F award on NH at all even via a partner airline's program. It's a piece of cake, compared with getting an award ticket on SQ long-hauls via UA, LH or NH's program.
