So back in January I booked a LAX-IST trip with three legs on DL and three on AF. The AF flights were DL codeshares, and I took the trip in March. I was operating on assumption that the mileage follows the metal, and since AF was an AS partner, I assumed that those flights would be eligible to earn miles. AS, however, now refuses to credit them. The rep. I spoke to indicates that they recently changed the policy. I saw nothing to indicate this potential issue when I booked the ticket, and I assumed a codeshare flight where both airlines were partners would be fine. Does anyone have any thoughts on possible recourse? Also, is this policy clearly posted anywhere? Thanks much.
