I have been an AA cheerleader and apologist for as long as I can remember. I have protected American and defended it whenever possible. That being said, todays announcement comes as a huge disappointment. Even though this baggage charge will not affect me (I fly Internationally in Premium Cabins and am an elite), it pains me to see management nickle-and-diming passengers as they are today. To me, it's not important whether other airlines follow the trend (as I think they will), but it's sad that American was the one who went to this extreme. Lastly, if American cuts any routes out of BOS I may be forced to consider switching airlines.
