I don't think you have to say that you have a conflict. They have no way of knowing that you didn't book the whole trip based on having a VERY IMPORTANT meeting with somebody at 10AM that morning. (3 hours after the new departure)

You don't have to tell them that the meeting was with the pool attendant to pick up a towel.
