However, I'm trying to hold a reservation with Avis for October this year. The UK site is not letting me do this. It keeps asking me to create an online account, which, as a Preferred member, I already have, and to pay upfront which I don't want to do. Even when I try to checkout to see what happens it won't recognise me and gives me an error message.

Anyone having the same problems?
