State officials today were expected to approve Michigan Business Tax credits worth up to $3.2 million for a new Staybridge Suites extended stay hotel in downtown's North Monroe area.
he $16.1 million, nine-story project at 601 Bond Ave. NW is being planned by Joseph Moch.
The project is eligible for $1.5 million in tax reimbursements tied to public amenities. In addition, the site is located in a Renaissance Zone that provides partial tax relief through 2011.
