The other thing was the distance. It's quite a ways down the soi and definitely a good 10 minute brisk walk, longer if your a slow walker. I stayed there when it was hot and when we got some rain some days. Not an enjoyable walk in either case. There is also a small canal along the soi which can create some unpleasant smells along the way. I got very bored with the walk after the second time and if you'll be making the trip several times a day I think you might start to dread the walk.
