Currently have a week in a villa in Tuscany in August following time in Rome. Now the other couple is having some potentially major problems and we may have to cancel.

Can't really change the flights so we're thinking of what else we can do besides Tuscany. Sardinia seems to be a beautiful choice and an area we've never been to. Could use some info regarding how to get there, how long it would take, how much it would cost, etc. We have loads of Starwood points and there seem to be a number of their hotels there. Appreciate if anyone has any insights about these hotels.
