Does anyone have an upcoming reservation at The Grand Mauritian Resort & Spa?
I can't seem to find much information on it here or on the net. Like: was it built new or is it a remodeled hotel changed to Luxury collection?
I have a stay here in 09 and will report back then. Hoping someone has a reservation shortly after it opens on June 1, 08.

- Free Daily Newspaper
- Butler Service
- Coffee & Tea Maker - arrived for the last 2 days of our stay
- In Room Movies (unless you count 2 frankly poor films)
- Bose Wave Radio
Hotel Services
- Car Rental Service - none observed but the Concierge could probably arrange
- Business Centre - none observed
- Spa - opened on the 3rd day of our visit
- Gym - accessed via spa and thus not available until day 4 of our stay. We were initially told it opened at 10:00 but after a visit we were told this should be 07:00
- Water Sports - No facilities available, possibility to use those at the Meridien
- Planned Beach Activities - None in evidence
- Outdoor Heated Pools - only one pool available which is definitely not heated
- 24 hour taxi stand - no hotel taxi stand probable that a taxi from Maritim would be available
- Diving Centre
- Shopping Arcade - only 3 shops occupied, limited opening hours and none selling newspapers, books etc.
- Tennis Court - court built and appears to be grass court but we were told it could not be used
