Above, you say you've "obviously rejected" that option. My question to you is why have you "obviously rejected" that option? It's a very cheap alternative to paying $6k in biz.

If AA did sell eVIPs, I'm guessing they'd run just about the combined value of the cash+miles option, roughly $600 or so (miles valued at just over a penny). Or were you thinking that maybe AA would sell them for $100 or so?
