I ask for forgiveness, up-front, if this topic has been visited, but I thought I'd pose the question, given that UA is in BK, and will probably try to exploit marketing advantages--witness the uncharacteristic leadership by UA in eliminating the $100 standby fee.

AA has gone on record to comping upgrades for full fare flyers, based on status windows of 24hr, 72hr, and 100hr, beginning, I believe, in mid-January. To me, it would be a simple move for UA to match this. Has anybody heard anything?
