Pmax, sorry about the mix up. Hong Kong would be our final destination, but the transpacific Air China flight is indeed SFO-PEK. Obviously the airline is not the main factor in this decision. However, other things being equal (we'd love to visit either Shanghai or Hong Kong) one itinerary being head and shoulders above the other could figure into things, and I've never flown either airline.
