I started to make a booking this week and noticed this too. However, I saw it in time and clicked on the box where the tick was to say I didn't want it. Ultimately I didn't make the booking online and I wasn't asked about it by the agent when I booked by phone. I'll let you know if I subsequently get charged for it.
