As long as it doesn't significantly delay the arrival time, I think it's great. I've been on a few flights were pilots banked and circled to provide a better view of the Grand Canyon, and I still have wonderful memories of an incredible TWA L1011 ride up the Hudson River at such a low level that I was able to look into my girl friend's apartment window and see if she was home. Sadly, nothing like that would be allowed now, but what an incredible ride!
