Duped into buying BA Travel Insurance?
I purchased a couple of itineraries last week on ba.com (as I do quite often).
Surprised to receive two BA Travel Insurance policies through the post a few days later (at £13 per itinerary). I did not remember seeing any option for Travel Insurance. Checked my credit card statement and I had not yet been charged for it - the following day it appears as a separate charge.
I've just run through an replica booking as far as the payment stage - I find there is a pre-ticked box that has appeared low down on the passenger details page. As this form is prefilled from BAEC account details, I am used to not having to change anything.
Luckily, there is a 14 day cool-off period when I can cancel at no charge, but I am angry that BA are stooping to such subversive tactics to gain additional revenue. My employer, my credit card agreement and my annual travel policy would all these trips, so I am far from in need of extra insurance.
Anyone else been duped?
