I just flew NRT-SFO UA838 today; had business class upgrades confirmed with SWUs since my reservation a month or so ago. Imagine my shock when they didnt ask for a certificate for either myself or my girlfriend?!? I couldnt believe; I told my girlfriend to hurry away before the check-in agent realized their mistake. I couldn't use the blue eyes line as 1) I was with my girlfriend and 2) I was in Japan
