AWESOME. I will never criticize having additional options.

However, reading UA's press release makes it seem like this alliance is like that of Virgin Blue in Australia - only code-share flights will accrue miles, and code shares will only be on flights within the islands of Hawaii.

Makes sense that they want to keep all the mainland-HI traffic to UA metal...but it does not replace Aloha entirely if it is correct as I interpreted.
