As I've started to use the showers in various airport lounges over the past couple years, this is something I've been wondering about. Do you stand on the floor barefoot or put something down (maybe a towel)?

I find it a little gross to go barefoot only because I'm sure that the floors are not cleaned very well, or at least as well as a hotel. A couple times I've just used the cheap disposable slippers that some hotels provide, but its really a pain to carry those along just for this purpose. I guess if the consensus is that the showers are actually cleaner than I thought, I will stop this practice and just go bare.
