Hi All - I have always gotten great advice from these forums and I wanted to pose a question to all you frequent Thailand travelers out there. My wife and I will be spending 10 days in Thailand in mid June and would like to spend 3 nights at a really great beach resort that we can reach by car from Bangkok. We would like to avoid having to fly for such a short time, so we have narrowed it down to Hua Hin or Pattaya. I have reservations at both Anantara in Hua Hin in a deluxe lagoon room, and also a deluxe pavilion room at the Sheraton Pattaya. Which hotel/area do you think will be the better experience for us? We enjoy luxury hotels such as FS and RC frequently, so the quality and size of the room definitely matter to us. We will be spending the rest of the trip at the Peninsula in Bangkok.

Your tips are greatly appreciated and also please feel free to offer alternatives that we have not thought of. In terms of budget, I don't really have a strict one, but would prefer to stay around $300 per night or so.
