You don't need to be there that early for a 7 am flight, the ticket counter and check in machines probably won't even be open, and depending on when the first flight is that day for your airline, security won't even be open.
I'm just thinking that, if I get there at 5:40, after going through to the gates, I won't have time for a shower at the Admiral's Club. Also, not sure what to do between 3 am and 5 am in the city, when I will likely be fading (going to a bar and having a drink holds no appeal to me unless there is live music, comedy, or some kind of show).
