I really meant the anecdote to be about the nervous bellman, not as a reflection on the hotel. I've stayed there quite a few times and never had a problem. My only criticism would be that you have to run the gauntlet of hustlerish kids on the way to the bars and clubs. That's not the hotel's fault.
