They actually preferred the lower deck - they liked the two back facing seats in the middle because they could make their own little 'den'. Privacy screens up, seats down, tv screens out, and drinks and snacks from the crew - they loved it.
I have to say, that's exactly what I always think those middle seats are perfect for. I imagine if I was that age it's exactly what I'd prefer too.
