Should I be worried I'm not given the option to change my flights? I booked the JFK-LAX-JFK segment on AA.ie.

I've booked DUB-LHR-JFK-LHR-DUB on one itinerary and JFK-LAX-JFK on another. There is note on my JFK-LAX flight that I am connecting from the LHR-JFK flight.

I'm only bringing hand luggage, but the connection time is tight in JFK so I'd really prefer to be checked in before starting off from DUB.
