With the limited meal service on such a long flight, if they do not I might need to pick up some sky-snacks of my own

and what does "light refreshment will be served prior to landing" mean?

Sorry..I'm used to REAL BF meal service...never been to HNL before....but looking forward to it!
I am almost afraid to answer your questions, seeing how you feel about us Jersey Girls.

No skysnackes, no cookies, but you will get an ice cream sundae after your nuts, appetizer, salad, bread and meal. Not so limited in my opinion, but w/e.

Light refreshment prior to landing was a hamburger (last month).

If this isn't enough food for you, then, by all means, bring your own on board.
