However, WN recently cited the fact that they've gone after UA and US more aggressively because they don't fight back that hard. The truth is that they probably can't afford to. However, its no coincidence that NW is largely free of LCCs in their markets (that and their markets are smaller). I wonder if UA should start fighting someone like VX harder. What if UA started dumping capacity into some markets to hurt VX. Its certainly been done by AA, NW, DL in other places.
