Don't the prepaid SIM vendors often have a cheap model on sale if you buy the SIM from them?

I've been using a really cheap (and pretty old) Australian Moto GSM phone in HK, it works fine in both HK and Manila as well as Oz. Yeah, you need plug adaptors for the wacky Oz electrical plug, but that's not a big deal.
