After all, they are not up to the standards of the LH FCT at FRA or many lounges in Asia. The more competition, the better for everyone. That's the rule of market economy.

I think nobody is against increasing the lounge services at OSL in here. But what we have tried to say is that in our opinion it isn't in SAS's interest for increasing the lounge services as they already have all they need and want. They want people to either fly so much that they can get EBG or to buy Business class tickets. And if there would be other lounges and it would create competition then wouldn't it in fact increase the pressure for SAS to spend more money for their lounge, right? Thus it would create more costs for SAS.
Let's put the question otherwise? Why it would be SAS interest to create more lounges when they are already the dominant airline and dominant lounge player? Why wouldn't it be BA interest who had their own lounge earlier but no longer has their own dedicated lounge; the same logic as with SAS, BA would get a huge amount of new passengers because they would be having their own lounge and also if they would lobby for the public lounge it would create more business for them as well, right? Or why wouldn't it be PriorityPass or DC interest? Or Servisair or Novia interest? Both of these (Servisair/Novia) are running lounges in ARN/CPH and could easily expand to OSL (and PriorityPass/DC buying from them the access).
It is my interest to have a PriorityPass lounge in every possible airport I might ever go.

But then again ... most likely it doesn't happen as PriorityPass will calculate their business case and make the decisions accordingly.
