Back on topic though, I agree with the views on PE. They need to at least give you some catering. Last thing you want is to pay $400 odd for a sYD-MEL and then have to fork out $12 for a sandwich and glass of wine.
Surely anyone with a modicum of sense would fly Qantas if they wanted any "frills" at all (like not sitting on the wing). The only reason for flying Virgin Blue (DJ) is that they are often cheaper than QF in cattle class (but don't forget to add on the cost of tea and sympathy, etc, etc). If you want to use the Lounges, buy a Priority Pass (it's also cheaper than a DJ lounge pass).

It looks like whoever came up with the notion of PE on DJ didn't have a clue, and if it's not severely revamped soon, it will just end up losing Virgin Blue a lot of business, as the first 3 rows of any flight will remain empty.
