I've always found both the aussie call centre and the phillipines one very good. (The Manilla call centre is for OVERFLOW)

Back on topic though, I agree with the views on PE. They need to at least give you some catering. Last thing you want is to pay $400 odd for a sYD-MEL and then have to fork out $12 for a sandwich and glass of wine.

The next thing the need to sort out is a truely international program - they aren;t going to get pax like myself to defect to them if my status is only good at Virgin blue and no use for lounge access (ie Virgin Atlantic, Malaysian) etc when i travel internationally.
