先達 (Sin Tat) is a hive of traps for the unweary. The shops there mostly sell parallel imports which I suppose won't matter to you, but you might get a frankenstein model. Don't use your credit card there either.
Broadway or Citicall and like chains are better and you won't get surcharged for using your credit card.
Chainstores charge a small fee for the peace of mind and the credit card charges are already included in the price.
If you know what you do, Sham Sui Po - Apliu street is another option.
But you will have to watch out.
I bought a Motorola V3 for 599 HK$, they told me it has a 1 year shop warranty (After I asked - always ask for warranty). When I then had a problem they told me it was 100 HK$ to repair. Only my threat to go to the authorities made them drop the charges. They needed 2 weeks to fix it. But since the price is so low, I bought a replacement to have a spare one then.
(By the way, a check with Motorola revealed that it was a genuine product, made for the US market).
